LESSON PROGRAM
Instruction by Certified Equine Canada Level 8 Rider 2 Instructors available to accomodate your schedule! All ages and levels of riders are welcome. Our youngest students can begin at 3 years of age in our TINY TROTS program. Adult riders are welcome to join in the fun, learning and exercise as well. We start every student with a series of private lessons. All beginner students are started on the lunge line, so that they are able to develop proper balance, a good seat, and trust with the horses. After the student's initial assessment, they can choose to ride in group lessons, or continue with private lessons. Group lessons do not exceed 5 riders, and students are grouped with other riders with similar experience and skill level. We want to make sure that no student is left behind, or over-faced during their course of learning. Emerald Meadows includes trail riding in their lesson programs as well. More advanced and competitive students are schooled over our Cross Country Course and can join in Shows and Clinics on and off site. They can work towards their Rider Levels , Farm Management and Pony Club Testing. Riding is more than just being 'on' the horse. Our horses love extra special attention, that is why Emerald Meadows emphasizes safe and proper grooming and tacking up. Students get a chance to bond with their mount. Students are also expected to clean up after their sessions. We even have brooms and pitch forks for 'little' people.

TINY TROTS: Our riding program trains the rider from the very beginning to the advanced level. Young riders can be as young as three years old, and will start in the Tiny Trot program. Tiny Trotters are introduced to ponies, safety around the barn, and basic grooming and handling. They ride on a lead line in a one on one environment. |
